Imitaters and the reason why

At one point when most of us are young we want to be someone we saw. A Rapper or Rock Star maybe a Sports Star. Every really notice how fake some people really are. Ever see somebody pretend to be something there not. The major examples of people being fake that I see on a regular basis involve people acting tuff or like a Tuff Guy.

Everybody wants to be a Tuff Guy. But they don't know what a Tuff Guy really is. Everyone doesn't go thru the same struggle and as time goes by people have forgotten what the struggle was that made my people the way they are. Black People had a unique struggle but not all black people. I didn't have it half as bad as my ancestors had it. These youngsters nowadays don't have it half as bad as we did.

Some people have no idea what we really go thru. But they'll pretend they do or they'll disbelieve yo because to them it's just to fantastic. Most people on the planet don't have their own homes or jobs. But are most people bred with violence and bred with no family values. We don't know our real last names and most of us don't know our blood lines at all. So off the back it makes us some type of way.

Where did Yo Favorite Rappers' Favorite Rapper start

Most people in my age group love 2pac. Some say he was the greatest rapper in the world. The man claimed he was from Oakland. I'm from Oakland and we take being from wherever you're from seriously.  2pac got his start in oakland as a backup dancer with Digital Underground.
So why do people think he was some type of thug lord, it's because people don't know what a thug is. At one point everyone had no idea what a thug was and that made thugs scary, then people started thinking they knew what a thug was and they want to be a thug. But that's where they're confused. A Thug or Gangster isn't what you thought it was. It sure ain't 2pac or most of the Rappers you see today.

I like some of 2pac's music don't get me wrong, I'm just not crazy about him. Trendsetting is what Oakland does and thats the basis of this blog. I'll add more soon

Truth be Told there's a difference between Rap and Hip Hop

I get tired of the way people refer to Urban music, even the so called Hip-Hop experts. Hip-Hop, and Rap are to different things. A couple days ago somebody reminded me how much I like break dancing and beat boxing. I was born in 83, so as a kid I always tried to break dance (never could) I always tried to beat box too, (but I was never good at that either.

As I grew up I watch the rise and fall of Rap Music, the East/West Coast beef, and the change that was sneaked into my culture. Hip-Hop is the father of rap music and yes Hip-Hop was made by the East Coast.

Hip-Hop was originally break dancing music also it was battle music, the major terms were M.C and DJ. The West Coast is the Father of Rap Music and to be even more specific I mean Gangster Rap music. It was gang banger music made by thugs for thugs. Major terms were all gang and violence related.

There has always been a difference and not acknowledging that difference is the reason why Rap Music is dead. This new age stuff I will call it Hipster Music,(because that's what it's about being hip and cool) is totally different this isn't the urban music it started out to be.

Gangsta Rap wasn't positive most of the time it wasn't meant to be it was story telling by people who had lived those event. Why does the life of a gangsta attract people and make them want to imitate it. The music of a certain culture was condemned after the songs resembled the lifestyle.
